The Wetlands Conservancy

The Wetlands Conservancy (TWC) is the only organization in Oregon dedicated to promoting community and private partnership to permanently protect and conserve Oregon's greatest wetlands - our most biologically rich and diverse lands. Our mission is to partner with communities across Oregon in conserving, enhancing, and restoring the physical and ecological values of Oregon's wetlands for current and future generations. Our programs include land acquisition, land management, research, education, and operations, which are funded by private donations, foundations, and federal, state, and local grants and contracts.

Ecology in Classrooms & Outdoors

Ecology in Classrooms & Outdoors (ECO) connects students to nature through cumulative, hands-on, STEM-based classroom lessons and field experiences. Since 2005, ECO has been working with diverse students across the Portland Metro region to meaningfully connect them to the natural world and provide science enrichment. Most recently, ECO expanded across the state, now serving 6,000 students in all grade levels and inspiring tomorrow's environmental stewards.

The Havurah Climate Action Team

The Havurah Climate Action Team (HCAT) seeks to raise awareness and take action to address the threats from the climate crisis. HCAT creates opportunities for Havurah families to make a difference at home, at the synagogue, and in the larger community. HCAT is part of Havurah Shalom - a vibrant, diverse, participatory Jewish community steeped in Jewish values promoting spirituality, learning, and acts of social responsibility.
